The traditional Invest MORE conference introduced energy for the Moravian-Silesian region
The 3rd Invest MORE conference, entitled "New Energy for the Moravian-Silesian Region", was held in Clarion Congress Hotel in Ostrava on June 6, 2017. The topic of this year's event was "New Energy for the Moravian-Silesian Region. The key messages related to the strategic development of the region and the city of Ostrava have enriched the experience of investors and developers.
"I see the conference as an opportunity to bring regional strategic projects closer to investors, employers, representatives of companies, personnel agencies and the public in the same place. I hope that the conference will create a space for co-operation and further negotiations on the possible key issues that our region can move on," says Ivo Vondrák, head of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
The Mayor of Ostrava Tomáš Macura informed the participants about the plans of the city to develop and support the investment environment in connection with the Strategic Development Plan of Ostrava for the period 2017 to 2023. "One of the strategic projects of the city is the preparation of an industrial zone in the Ostrava part of Hrušov. It will have 35 hectares and there may be up to 2,000 new jobs. We want to respond to the fact that the industrial zones in the region are almost filled, "said Mayor of Ostrava Tomáš Macura.
Deputy Governor MSR for Smart Region and Transport Jakub Unucka introduced to the conference participants the concept of smart solutions for the citizens of the Moravian-Silesian Region and stressed the significant support of the government in this area in the form of a smart competition, which aims to support the original innovative ideas of people from the region.
In the accompanying presentation, the participants could see presentation of a large investment plan of the region or already successfully implemented investment projects.
The organization of the conference was, as in previous years, entrusted to the Regional Agency for Regional Development.
