University offers assistance to companies

Cooperation with schools is still a live issue. This confirms the high level of participation at a discussion meeting with representatives of the University of Ostrava, which took place on 16.2.2017.

The aim of the two-hour meeting was to establish a closer relationship between the University of Ostrava and companies that could collaborate with OU, either in the form of internships students or preparing students bachelor or master thesis. Individual department presented the profiles of their graduates to companies closer to their expertise and potential applicability in practice. Representatives of the Moravian-Silesian region  introduced the upcoming regional program that will provide financial support to students participating in professional practice in small and medium enterprise, as well as their mentors. Companies demonstrated interest in cooperation with the university and welcomed the new regional internship program.
