Nový Jičín is a small town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, which is characterized by architectural monuments, especially the square square with an arcade and Renaissance houses. The historic centre is a town conservation area. Located 34 km south-west of the regional capital Ostrava.
The town is strategically positioned on the main transportation corridor running through the “Moravian Gate”.
