Urbanity Campus Bruntál
The Urbanity Campus Bruntál will be based on efficiency, unique architecture and close cooperation with city officials and local residents. The campus will provide a total of 53,600 m² of leasable space. However, it also includes amenities, plenty of greenery and natural features.
All buildings will be classified as extremely energy-efficient. The campus will also make use of local drinking water sources through its own boreholes and will thus be able to be 100% self-sufficient.
It will be built close to the centre of Bruntál, which benefits from a favourable location close to the Polish border, on the site of the current brownfield site between the exit roads to Opava and Krnov. The project also includes the construction of a new access road to the site, which will bring calming to the adjacent residential area.
The main building of 36,000 m2 can reach a height of up to 20 metres at the client’s request, making it ready for automated and robotic operations, while the remaining 3 buildings of 3,300 – 10,000 m2 are more suitable for regional clients.

Learn moreBruntál is the westernmost district town of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. It lies about 50 km north of historical city of Olomouc (CZ) and 25 km south of the border with Poland.
Historically, Bruntál and the surrounding region was part of an industrial area where heavy industry played a significant role. After the transformation in the 1990s, traditional industries declined, which had a negative impact on employment.
Today, there are several manufacturing and processing companies that provide employment opportunities, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and food processing. For example, OSRAM, a manufacturer of lighting for the automotive sector and lamps for industrial and entertainment applications, or Macco Organiques, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of inorganic salts.
Nevertheless, employment in the industrial sectors does not sufficiently cover the entire labour demand. The Bruntál region has long faced one of the highest unemployment rates in the Czech Republic due to a lack of job supply. Unemployment is above the national average. Together with one of the lowest wage levels in the country, this represents a great opportunity for new investors.
The Bruntál Municipality supports the development of small and medium-sized businesses. At the same time, however, it is also working on the preparation of new industrial areas and the development of transport infrastructure. All with the aim of attracting new investors to help create new jobs and boost the region’s prosperity.
Bruntál and its surroundings are also known for their beautiful nature. It is close to the Jeseníky Mountains, the Slezská Harta Dam and there are a number of historical monuments that attract the attention of tourists.
