The Regional Development Agency participated in a meeting with entrepreneurs in Bílovec

On Thursday 20 April 2017, a working meeting of the Bílovec city administration, representatives of the Labor Office in Bílovec and the Director of Regional Development Agency with entrepreneurs took place in Bílovec.

It was not the first meeting. Similar meetings with entrepreneurs were organized by the City Hall last year. By means of these meetings, the city of Bílovec wants to support the development of business in the city. In the city there is lack of the long-term jobs, one half of employed people commuting (38% commute to Ostrava), the population has been declining for 7 years and is getting older although the fact that Bílovec is near the highway, the airport and the railway corridor and is the center of the administrative area of ​​the municipality with 28 thousand inhabitants. The city is therefore looking for ways to promote job creation both in employment and self-employment.

The meeting with entrepreneurs was initiated by Mayor Bílovec Pavel Mrva. Deputy Mayor Sylva Kováčiková informed about the strategic documents of the town. Director of the Regional Development Agency Petra Chovanioková spoke on the topic of employment support in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
